New Priority Deadline for FAFSA: March 1st, 2012

This application must be renewed each academic year for a student to continue receiving financial aid. The priority filing date for the FAFSA is March 1, and students who have completed a FAFSA by this date will be considered first for Financial Aid.

Satisfactory Academic Progress:

The Office of Student Financial Aid will begin its academic progress review of students who are receiving financial aid for the 2011-2012 academic year. Students will receive email notifications of their status via UNC Charlotte’s email accounts.

Students’ financial aid WILL NOT credit to their accounts until a satisfactory academic progress appeal is submitted and approved.  Even though their financial aid will not credit, if their awards are enough to pay tuition, fees and other charges, their class registrations will not be cancelledIf an appeal is not approved, students are financially responsible for any charges incurred.  If students choose not to remain enrolled, they must officially withdraw from their registered classes by the established deadlines through 49er Express.

If your academic progress was a result of circumstances beyond your control, you have the opportunity to appeal. Appeal forms are located via the Forms/Download link on this page.
