Your semester tuition and fee bill will be adjusted according to
the University refund policy.
Students awarded federal financial aid will also be subject to
the Return of Title IV Funds Policy. This may result in a
balance due on your tuition and fees bill. Federal Title IV aid
includes Stafford Loans, Perkins Loans, PLUS Loans, Pell Grants,
SEOG Grants, ACG Grants, and SMART Grants.
You may be required to repay all or part of the financial aid
disbursed for the semester in which you withdraw if you do not
complete more than 60% of the semester.
You will have to repay any unearned financial aid you have
received according to the Return of Title IV Funds Policy.
When you withdraw from a semester and receive grades of W, these
unearned grades can affect your eligibility for financial aid
programs. Please refer to the
Satisfactory Academic Progress
section of the Office of Student financial Aid website to
review the policy.
The federal government has established the Return of Title IV Funds
Policy which impacts financial aid recipients. This policy is not
the same as the University refund policy. Financial aid is awarded
to students contingent upon completion of the semester. Federal
financial aid recipients who withdraw prior to completing 60% of the
semester will owe a repayment to the U.S. government. If it is
determined that a portion of the financial aid received by the
student is unearned, the University is required to return the
unearned funds. That amount will appear on your tuition and fees
bill.
